Meanwhile, Hyundai is expected to introduce the Creta EV, its first made-in-India electric vehicle. Additionally, Mahindra is likely to showcase the BE.05. 1. Maruti Suzuki eVX

Maruti Suzuki first revealed the concept of its electric car, eVX, at the 2023 Auto Expo. This highly anticipated Electric SUV is expected to be launched in early 2025. Following its debut, a Toyota derivative of the eVX will also be introduced. This electric vehicle is likely to feature a 60 kWh battery pack, providing an impressive driving range of around 550 km on a single charge.

2. Hyundai Creta EV

The electric version of the popular Hyundai Creta is expected to launch next year. Currently, the company is testing the vehicle on Indian roads. Priced likely below ₹20 lakh, the Creta EV could borrow its powertrain from the Hyundai Kona EV, with an estimated driving range of 450-500 km. The EV is expected to be equipped with advanced features, top-notch safety, and a front-wheel-drive electric motor.

3. Mahindra BE.05

At present, Mahindra has only one electric vehicle in its lineup, the Mahindra XUV400. Based on a dedicated EV platform, this electric vehicle is anticipated to offer an estimated range of over 500 km. It will come equipped with an electric motor sourced from Valeo and is likely to feature rear-wheel drive.
